About "Twenty Speeches that Moved a Nation"
The speeches have been selected to provide listeners with complete
recordings of important speeches, selected according to their eloquence,
historical importance, and their ability to tell through sound and
a new, fresh reading by our voice talents, the story of a nation
and the words that have moved, for better or worse, generations
of Filipinos. All speeches have been recorded uncut and in full.
We hope by presenting what are objectively masterpieces of the genre
--speeches--in a fresh new way, the series will be both instructive
and educational, serving to promote a leap forward in the style
of oratory in this country, and giving listeners a vivid reinterpretation
of significant speeches from our history. The audio set is released
together with a booklet containing the original texts of the speeches,
translations if applicable, and commentaries by the series selector,
together with an foreword by Sen. Loren Legarda-Leviste and a preface
by Rep. Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr.
